About bookmakers.today: a daily paper on betting and casino

About bookmakers.today: what the site publishes each day, where its prices and scores come from, how stories are chosen and how the site is funded.

Betting and casino news is scattered across regulators, trade sites and company statements. Up to 20 stories a day on bookmakers.today bring it into one place, from licence decisions and results to deals, launches and sponsorships.

If a regulator suspends a licence, the question we answer is what happens to your balance. If a bookmaker changes its payment partner, we say which deposits still work.

Three things, every day

Every day of the year the site publishes 3 things, in the same order and at the same addresses. The news desk clears up to 20 stories with at least 18 minutes between them.

The tips digest lists 14 picks from the priced matches of the day, frozen at the first kick-off. The live board carries every fixture in the feed.

  • News rewritten in plain English, with the original source named and linked on every story.
  • A short football tips digest: the pick, its model chance, fair odds and the best price available.
  • A live score board for the whole fixture list, with the best 1X2 price next to each match.

Where the data comes from

Fixtures, each partner bookmaker’s prices, model chances and live scores come from our odds feed. Prices refresh every 2 hours before kick-off and scores every 60 seconds during play.

The full 3-day fixture window reloads every 2 hours. The site presents that data in a daily format and adds the news desk on top. Team crests, league badges and bookmaker logos are stored and served by the site itself.

Prices shown are the best among partner books at the last refresh. Model chances are published as percentages and turned into fair odds by dividing 1 by the chance, so a 50% chance reads as 2.00 and a 72% chance as 1.39.

How the site is funded

Some links to bookmakers are affiliate links, marked with a sponsored attribute. If you open an account through one, the bookmaker pays a commission.

That has no effect on which stories are published, how a story is written or which tips make the list. The list is produced from the numbers alone, with 2 picks per league at most, and the 30-day record stays on the tips page whether it reads 60% or 40%.

The partner set has 9 members at present. A book enters or leaves it only when a commercial agreement starts or ends, and the change shows on the bookmakers page the same day.
